"Play" LO by DT Aurelie

Good Morning!

For today's inspiration, we are sharing Designer Aurelie's beautiful layout:
Aurelie shared this about her layout:
"SO love how SOS is inspiring me to dig deep in my stash and use scrappy goodies I've been holding onto for years! Such is the case with Basic Grey's What's Up? collection. As soon as I saw air balloons in the first list of items to use on this layout, I started looking for it. I knew there was this BG collection that had some in it. And ta-da! There it was. I used tons of it for this layout - patterned papers (I fussy-cut that air ballon - it's actually just half of a balloon, but tucked behind my paper layers, it still does the trick!), alphas, and chipboard stickers. I also layered a piece of BG's Wisteria collection as well as one from BG's RSVP collection. They matched so perfectly! YAY! Finally, I added a few buttons (item from list 2) as embellishments on the air balloon, Stampin' Up cardstock for my journalling and some of their vellum behind my photo, a Freckled Fawn title wood veneer piece, a few splats of Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze (my journalling is actually hiding a few splatting mishaps!), a run of the mill paper clip, and yes, of course, some hand-stitching using a Crafter's Workshop stitching template and some DMC floss. Oh! And my item for list 3 is the piece of patterned paper with chevrons on it. Photo by Jocelyne Roy, a scrappy friend who's been babysitting my sweet Éloïse for the past two years. Love these pics she takes of our girl while we're working. Merci, Jocelyne!"

Here's the challenge:
Just a couple of days left upload your layout!!
Can't wait to see how you interpret the challenge! :)

From the list, I chose Authentique (the tiny grey paper behind my photo). Black, of course! And a lot of Crate Paper embellishments, aren't they the cutest."

I followed the sketch pretty closely but replaced the circle with a hot air balloon die cut which is also my item from List Nr. 1. From List Nr. 2. I chose black and used it for my journaling. Then from List Nr. 3. I picked chevron and besides using chevron paper, I also chose a balloon cut file with chevron design. I paired my outdoors photo with the super cool outdoors line, Outfitters, from Pink Paislee. I added some wood veneer pieces from Freckled Fawn and Amy Tangerine, and a flair from A Flair for Buttons to finish off my page.

"Picture Perfect" LO by DT Sherri

Hello and Happy Monday!

I hope you had a magnificent weekend! :)
Here's an awesome layout by Designer Sherri for our daily inspiration:
Here's what Sherri shared about her layout:

"I just LOVE this sketch!! When I saw the colors listed in the +3 part of the challenge -( Black and Yellow,) I just knew what subject I'd be scrapping, and what paper lines I would be using too! For my +3 items, I used (1) Air Balloons, (2) Black, (3) Canary

The Black and Yellow made me think of all of the Disney "Stuff" I have in my stash, which I think worked perfectly with the challenge! This photo was taken at California Adventure, in Disneyland California, earlier this year.

These are our WONDERFUL friends from The Netherlands, Paul and his mom Liesbeth. We met them on a Disney Cruise from LA to Hawaii and back, in 2012, and have since sailed across the Atlantic Ocean with them in 2014, and this year we sailed through the Panama Canal with them! Hmm... I wonder what 2018 will bring??? I'll have to reach out to them and start planning I guess!!

I hope I've inspired you to go through your stash and play along with us at the SCRAP OUR STASH BLOG this month!Looking forward to seeing what you create!((HUGS)) ~ Sherri

"Today" by DT Natsuko Suzuki

Hello!!
How is your Scrappy Saturday going?

Today's inspiration is this beautiful layout from our Designer Natsuko:
Natsuko said this about her layout:
"I chose LIST1-Air Balloons, LIST2-Buttons & Black, LIST3-Crate paper.
I love my daughter's expression in this picture.
I used several types of ink for the background and it was supposed to be brighter at first, but I think it's better this way and matches the atmosphere of the picture. Layering papers are always my favorite although this time it was hard to make them match. I used black stripe paper to mat the picture so it will stand out. I also used black ink to stamp some script, . Black always adds spice!! The air balloons are handmade. I punched out 3 circles and folded them into half and glued them together. Love how it adds dimention!

"Back to the Books" LO by DT Steffanie Seiler

WooHoo!! It's Friday! :)

Today we have an awesome layout to share with you created by our
Designer Steffanie Seiler:
Steffanie shared this about her layout:
"I love file folders and file tabs. I don't know why...there's just something about them. So you can probably guess that this sketch really appealed to me. The photo that I wanted to use was vertical though but it made the file card more visible which was perfect for my journaling. I eliminated the circle as there just wasn't really room for it. I also added a border strip and some washi at the top to help "anchor" my vertical pieces. For the stash challenge, here is how it broke down:
List 1 - Azure
List 2 - Bella Blvd, Black
List 3 - Canary"

Here's a look at the challenge:

Are you ready to try out this sketch challenge?

Have a wonderful SCRAPPY weekend! :)

"The True Beauty of the Season" Layout by DT Aurelie Cormier

Hello and thank you for stopping by to check out today's amazing feature,
created by SOS Designer Aurelie,
inspired by the
Aurelie:
"Inspired by the outdoor and back-to-school theme, I opted for a fall layout featuring my two munchkins having fun in the leaves last year. Backed by a piece of My Mind's Eye patterned paper, I layered elements from one of my all-time favourite Basic Grey collections - Indian Summer c. 2009 (patterned papers, cut pieces from the card kit, and rubons). I was also very much inspired by the white picket fence on the inspiration piece which reminded me of that fence embellishment I've been hoarding for that one special project. This layout was perfect for it! The BG leaf motives rubons embellish the three Prima leaves I stuffed under my patterned papers. For my book or dictionary paper as per this month's challenge, I used a piece of Stampin' Up book paper I've had in my stash forever. The titling is a mix of BG rubons and a Heidi Swapp title sticker. Finally, I added a Maya Road camera clip, three buttons (one is from Jillibean Soup), a Crate Paper chipboard sticker, a few basic BG alphas, three small strips of Stampin' Up cardstock for my journaling, a few Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze splats, and some good ol' stitching using a Crafter's Workshop stitching template and some DMC floss. Sketch by Laura Whitaker. Photo by Philippe Dumas."
